Diego Armando Maradona Franco, born October 30, 1960, Lanus, Buenos Aires, Argentina. One of the greatest players in the history of the sport. He was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the 20th Century award. His position was attacking midfield. Maradona captained the Argentine national team to victory in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
